What makes great leaders stand out and sets them apart?
Mistakes I've made, lessons I've learnt!
Be attuned to the pulse!
Be there to tell it as it is!
We all need someone like this in our organisations! Leaders are drawn in all directions!
Never drag your focus away from the people!
Be there, show that feelings matter!
That moment when you realise the problem is me!
Never forget the people, people are the process! Relationship is of soooo important! The time taken to develop the relationship is the work!!!
Leadership is about building relationships - that is the essence of getting the work done!
Learning the new things in leadership - what makes human interaction possible. Focus on the human dimension!
Leadership is never about taking over...
A tragic lesson is what it often takes to bring a true message!
Key local leaders together -
Empathise...
Understand emotional intelligence is just as important if not more important than technical intelligence.
Engagement is important and necessary!
1/3 of leadership possibly comes from feeling...
Networking in a currency of morale... most of time is spent listening!
Where is the person who is just thinking about morale? What might the outcome of this be!
Be attuned to how people think and feel!
Leadership is not about me, it is about everybody else!
Be curious... be attuned to what makes great leaders great!!!!
What a powerful, MAGICAL, uber humble, inspiring talk!!!
